MAA September 2019 Meeting

The Mansfield Art Association hosted another exciting and informative guest artist at our September monthly meeting.

Cynthia James, accomplished artist with her own store/gallery in Granbury, demonstrated a unique medium that involved using alcohol and ink to paint on glass. This innovative technique was well received by the members of the MAA that were able to attend this month.

Below are a few pictures of some of the work she created at the meeting!

MAA "Mini-Paintings" Fund Raiser

The MAA members volunteered to donate their individual time and talents to participate in a fund-raising activity for the art association. Members volunteered to paint 5-10 mini-paintings on a 2.5” x 3.5” block of wood. Each piece is an original signed by the artist that is then offered for sale to the public for just $10 per painting. Gracie Lane on South Cooper Street provided a complimentary booth for displaying and selling the mini-paintings, with 100% of the proceeds being given to the MAA. Sales are continuing through the end of June as long as there are paintings available.
