I transplanted myself from Ohio to Dallas in September of 2015 and I’ve been thriving ever since! On a visit to Mansfield, I experienced my first Pickle Parade, fell in love with this town, and shortly thereafter moved here. While doing volunteer work for Downtown Mansfield’s Third Thursdays, I met my future husband, and it’s been a fairytale life since then! Fabulous ends in “us.” Coincidence? I think not.
I am a crafter, a painter, a slab-clay builder, beveled glass artist, alcohol inks (with FIRE), and furniture up-cycler to name a few….I am a maker. I have no training, nor have I won any awards, but I have fun and I absolutely love all the craft/art I make. The best thing about being a maker? When something you’ve made speaks to someone and they fall in love with the piece. And, if they decide to buy it….well, that’s even BETTER!
I do sell my works, but I also give a lot of it away or sell it at a discounted price because I believe every home should have original artwork! One of the saddest things in an artist’s world is for art to languish in the dark, unseen, unloved.
Ceramic, glass, painting, furniture, paper … so much fun, so little time!
